“A Day as an Ancient Ligurian”
Archaeological Museum of Finale
11.00 a.m.-12.00 p.m.:the laboratory allows participants to discover the rich world of signs and rock engravings of which the Finale territory offers some of the most important testimonies in Liguria. Like ancient stonecutters of the Metal Age, children will try their hand at creating an engraving using stone tools, and at the end of the activity, each child will take home their own artifact.
5.00 p.m.-6.00 p.m.: through the technique of weaving, participants create a raffia necklace, to which they attach a pendant by wrapping a copper wire. The students are inspired by some specimens found in archaeological sites of the Metal Age, known as “double spiral” pendants. At the end of the activity, everyone will take home their own work as a memento of the experience.
