Important Information

Davide Cabassi was born in Milan in 1976. He began studying the piano at a very young age. He graduated with top marks from the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory in Milan under the guidance of Edda Ponti. He subsequently perfected his skills at the prestigious International Piano Foundation of Lake Como.

  • Debut: He made his solo debut at just 13 years old with the RAI Symphony Orchestra.
  • International breakthrough: In 2005, he won the "Top Prize" at the famous American competition Van Cliburn. Since then, he has performed in the world's most important theaters, in Europe, America, China, and Japan.
  • Discography: He has recorded highly successful albums for major labels such as Sony BMG (his first album Dancing with the orchestra received the Critics' Award from the magazine «Classic Voice» for the best debut album of the year in 2007) and Decca (for which he recorded Beethoven's Piano Sonatas in 2012).
  • Teaching: He is a principal piano teacher at the Conservatory of Milan.
  • Social commitment: Together with his wife Tatiana Larionova, he founded the "Primavera di Baggio" festival in 2010 to bring classical music to the suburbs and promote culture among young people.
