“A small theater yes, but elegant was built for you – wrote Goffredo Casalis in 1840 – at the beginning of this century by various people from this city at their own expense.” The theater, a small architectural gem in the heart of Finalborgo, was built during the full Napoleonic period, between 1804 and 1806, in the spaces of the pre-existing college founded by Giovanni Andrea Aycardi in 1759. It is therefore the oldest 19th-century theater with a parterre and boxes preserved in Liguria.
