Through an original pathway, participants will be guided to discover paintings, sculptures, and inlays that guard a surprising universe of animals — lions, rabbits, snails, butterflies, hedgehogs, and many more. Behind these figures lie allegories of vices and virtues, fascinating and curious symbols related to the history and legends of the village.
In a fun and engaging way, we will retrace the events of the Marquisate of Finale, the heart of one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in Italy”.
Together we will discover how the remains of the ancient Castel Gavone, once the residence of the Del Carretto marquises and destroyed in 1715, have found new life: a fireplace transformed into a door, a capital turned into a fountain, and many other surprises that tell the ingenious spirit of Liguria, where nothing is ever lost.
