Cultural association for the safeguarding of historical and cultural heritage

The Centro Storico del Finale is a cultural association established in 1988, merging and reorganizing the Historical Reenactment group of Finale that had been active since 1977.
The objective of the Association is the protection of the historical and cultural heritage, through studies, research, conferences, publications, spectacular events, and manifestations.
The “spectacularization” of the medieval period, particularly the 15th century, a time when the marquisate of Finale governed by the Del Carretto family experienced its greatest splendor, combined with study and research, are the main characteristics that distinguish the work of the Association.
Since 1988, the Centro Storico del Finale has been a member of the Ligurian Council for the Defense of Arts and Traditions, since 1999 of the European Confederation of Festivals and Historical Events (CEFMH), and since 1996 of the Italian Federation of Historical Games (FIGS). Since 2003, the activities of the Association have been sponsored by the Italian Association for Culture and Sport (AICS) and the Consultation of Associations of Finale Ligure.
