Two clowns experience the climb to success, moving from anonymity to glory. But soon they realize that their dream comes with a price. Laughter breaks, and the game becomes a constraint. What was complicity turns into control, what was a mistake becomes guilt. The more they try to please the system, the further they distance themselves from themselves.
Through the language of clown and physical theater, the show – without using words – explores the dynamics of power abuse in work systems and contemporary society, showing how control can disguise itself as opportunity, consent, or success.
A performance that traverses the thin line between entertainment and submission, revealing how power can hide behind applause. The audience’s laughter then becomes an uncomfortable question: who is really entertaining whom? And at what price?
Perhaps then the only truly subversive act is to stop making people laugh when someone demands it. In a fragile balance between comedy and cruelty, the two find themselves faced with a choice: continue to obey or utter their ‘J’Accuse’?
