Casermetta Pian dei Corsi

Within the Forest Nursery Pian dei Corsi, there is a recently renovated hiking refuge with a catering service. Equipped with about 30 beds divided into 4 rooms, the refuge serves as a place for rest and hospitality for groups and families who wish to spend a few days close to nature and learn more about our environmental activities. It is located on the Alta Via at the intersection of the Di Terre Alte trail, near the wind farm and not far from the Melogno Pass, where it is possible to visit the Barbottina forest. The refuge remains a strategic point where various directions intersect, both towards Val Bormida, close to the monumental beech trees of Benevento, and towards Finalese with the municipalities of Rialto and Calice.

Our catering service is available every day from 8 am to 10 pm (summer hours) for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks at zero kilometers, in respect of the nature and culture of the area.
The refuge and the beautiful educational classroom, a structure made entirely of wood and glass, are also used for the conduct of internships and university placements, international masters, training courses, and professional courses, summer camps, environmental education courses, eco-tourism, and other events dedicated to such themes.
