Once again this summer, there will be a packed programme of events dedicated to discovering the archaeological and environmental heritage of the Finale area. A journey through culture, nature and history, with lots of activities designed for those who want to experience the area in an authentic and engaging way, including scenic excursions, workshops and guided tours for all ages.

From the Caverna delle Arene Candide to visits with an archaeologist at Castel Gavone, from prehistoric trails on the Altopiano delle Mànie to evenings dedicated to wellness between history and meditation, to special events at the Archaeological Museum of Finale: the Museo Diffuso del Finale offers experiences for every curiosity and interest.

Guided tours of the Varigotti Promontory

A unique experience discovering one of the most fascinating places in western Liguria, where nature and archaeology meet.

Accompanied by an archaeologist and a nature guide, participants will explore the promontory of Varigotti, with its spectacular views of the sea, centuries-old olive groves, botanical garden and areas dedicated to the conservation of local fauna.

A journey through history and landscape that leads to the discovery of ancient Mediterranean routes, historic fortifications and the church of San Lorenzo, in a landscape of rare beauty.

Experimental Archaeology Workshops – Every Thursday at the Museum

Every Thursday afternoon, the Archaeological Museum of Finale opens its doors to children with educational workshops dedicated to experimental archaeology. Take a dip into the past through fun, hands-on activities inspired by different eras, from the Palaeolithic to the Roman period. Children will be able to understand and experience the daily life of ancient civilisations and make small artefacts, learning while having fun.
