Interactive exhibition path dedicated to educating about citizenship and historical memory, developed by students from secondary schools of II and I degree and primary schools participating in the project

In a time marked by wars and global tensions, it is urgent to offer new generations tools to understand the value of dialogue and non-violence. The itinerary “Paths of Peace – Freedom of Expression” proposes a historical and educational path that starts from a simple yet powerful observation: there can be no peace without listening, and there can be no listening without freedom of speech.
History teaches us that when governments want to fuel conflict, the first thing they do is silence dissenting voices. This has also happened in Italy, even in our territories: between 1864 and 1946, numerous political opponents were imprisoned in Finalborgo. Studying these events also means learning to read the present: even today, freedom of expression is repressed, in more or less visible forms.
This exhibition path, promoted by Baba Jaga aps in collaboration with the project “For this I am called Giovanni” by Libera, with the contribution of the Agostino De Mari Foundation, invites us to investigate history to better understand the present, highlighting the mechanisms that hinder dialogue between peoples and obstruct the non-violent resolution of conflicts.
