Corso Introduttivo di Scenografia e Costume – BABA JAGA APS
Average price € 360
Held by: Alice Piscitelli
A workshop to imagine and build worlds, behind the scenes
In theater, as in film, alongside the actor, on stage (or in front of the camera), there is the presence – unseen but felt – of many other figures. Among them, set designers and costume designers: artisans of imagination, who build stories and characters together with those who act, giving form to what words do not express.
In this introductory workshop, we will play at “how to do it,” choosing a text and learning step by step to analyze it carefully. We will discover the needs of the scenes and the subtexts, questioning what we want to communicate “beyond words,” invisibly standing alongside the actors.
We will reflect on colors and materials, on the actual need (and possibility) for more or less realistic scenes and costumes. We will work on sketches, proposals, models, and even budgets, learning to leverage limitations and difficulties as creative resources.
The course is led by a professional with over twenty years of experience as a set designer, costume designer, and consultant for theatrical and artistic productions. A rare opportunity to approach performance art in a practical and stimulating way, in a welcoming and creative environment.
We are an APS – Social Promotion Association: our activities are born to grow together, through creativity, culture, and sharing.
